Big Joe Turner
American blues shouter Joesphn Vernon “Joe” Turner, Jr., best known as Big Joe Turner on stage at Newport Jazz Festival, Rhode Island, 1958. Turner was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987, with the Hall lauding him as “the brawny voiced ‘Boss of the Blues'”.
