George Shearing

A portrait of British jazz pianist Sir George Shearing without his glasses at The Blue Note Jazz Club, Chicago, IL, 1953. Born blind, Shearing composed over 300 titles, including the jazz standard “Lullaby of Birdland” and had multiple albums on the Billboard charts during the 1950s, 1960s, 1980s and 1990s.
