Terry O’Neill is one of the world’s most collected photographers with work hanging in national art galleries and private collections worldwide. He began his career at the birth of the 1960’s and quickly realised that youth culture was a breaking news story on a global scale and his images of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Michael Caine, and on-set James Bond photography started to appear in newspapers and magazines world-wide. Through his lens, O’Neill captured the leading, as well as the up-and-coming, stars of their day, including Frank Sinatra, Audrey Hepburn, Elton John, The Who, Faye Dunaway, Raquel Welch and Brigitte Bardot amongst countless others.

He also photographed notable names such as Nelson Mandela, Winston Churchill and Queen Elizabeth II.

One of O’Neill’s greatest collaborations was his work with David Bowie. First meeting in 1973, at the end of Bowie’s “Ziggy Stardust” persona, O’Neill captured the icon for decades to come; including portraits, inside the recording studio, on-stage, on-set and candid moments.

“He was a true genius” remembers O’Neill. “Visually exciting but also just a very nice man. I am very proud of the work we did together and it was very much a collaboration. He knew how to pose in front of the camera and was very aware of the image he wanted to project.”

These garments were fashioned using Terry O’Neill’s favourite images of David Bowie and each design was created with the full cooperation of the artist. They have been manufactured with the highest quality materials and attention to detail – every garment being a limited edition.
