Cross Africa
A gathering of the tribe in the Korongo Jebels (mountains). The Nuba pride themselves as wrestlers. They are powdered in wood ash so they can get a grip on each other. Here, the contestants spar with one another before the actual contests, Kordofan, Sudan, 1949.
